Butter Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies

These are the best Butter Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies ever!! What makes them a step ahead of everything else is the browned butter that is not only in the dough, but the pecans are toasted in it as well! This cookie has crisp edges, a chewy center, bits of buttery pecans throughout and is topped with flaked sea salt.

BUTTER PECAN CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Browned Butter Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies are chewy, buttery and nutty!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, browned
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon flaky sea salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Melt butter, add chopped pecans and cook 4-5 min, or until lightly toasted. Set aside.
  • Combine in a large bowl flour, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder.
  • In mixer, combine melted browned butter and both sugars.
  • Add in the vanilla and then eggs, one at a time. 
  • Gently fold in the flour, the buttered pecans and then chocolate chunks. *just fold it in David* put it in the fridge to chill.
  • Set oven to 350 and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop out your cookie dough and bake for 12 min and allow to cool on tray before transferring to cooling rack.
